chocolate, orange and hazelnut praline cake
This recipe tends to be quite moist due to the leached hazelnut oil, it’s also rather delicious.
Ingredients
300g self-raising flour
5g baking soda
5g baking powder
150g hazelnut praline
4g salt
100g orange juice
120g candied orange
80g chopped walnut/almonds
4 eggs
Tbsp of chocolate ganache
½ cup squeezed orange juice
Instructions:
Pre-heat oven to 170C.
Add the chocolate ganache to the hazelnut praline mix. Combine with the 4 eggs, adding these gradually. Add in the flour (pre-mixed with the baking soda/powder and salt).
In turn, add 30g of the candied orange, the ground/crushed almonds/walnuts, the orange juice, and the 250g melted dark chocolate to the mixture.
Transfer the mixture into pre-greased muffin tins.
Cook until done in an oven set at 170C.
